Created under the impression of the nuclear disaster in Fukushima 2011. A song against nuclear power and its image as a controllable, safe and clean energy source. Especially for us as Schweinfurter with daily view on the nuclear power plant Grafenrheinfeld an always present topic. Shortly after the song was written, the decision was made to phase out nuclear power in Germany, and the Grafenrheinfeld nuclear power plant was then decommissioned in 2015.
lyrics
WAKE-UP CALL
This is your wake-up call
You gonna kill us all
How many meltdowns do you need
You can’t control the flame you feed
This is your wake-up call
Burry all atomic waste
Out of sight out of mind
Leave it to future generations
Maybe they will find
A way to finally get rid of
Our toxic legacy
So let’s all enjoy the comforts
Of this “clean” technology
This is your wake-up call…
Whitewash all statistics
Single cases trivialized
Praise the safety like a mantra
We’ll forget that it’s all lies
You just have to keep it secret
When radiation is set free
And we all enjoy the comforts
Of this “safe” technology
This is your wake-up call…
Fukushima, Chernobyl
Are memorials to show
This is a ticking timebomb
And we all know
We can’t just wait for the next
Worst case scenario
Shut them off, tear them down

The perfect blend of naive enthusiasm and unfiltered rock 'n' roll danger, leading to an explosive, raw sound. Volcanic, pure, and crushing. Bandcamp New & Notable May 30, 2017
